1. General Summary: (Outline the purpose of this position. Why does this position exist at COMPANY?) This position is responsible for managing supplier quality and material quality into the operations. Ensure timely resolution of the affected materials and provide solution to ensure that the production can proceed in the transition. Also provide the technical assistance to the procurement function in qualifying the new suppliers.

2. Provide technical support and drive continuous improvement systems to achieve problem resolution. Coordinate between production, engineering, procurement and suppliers. 25%
3. Select, perform supplier audit and First Article qualification of components/assemblies and develop new suppliers. 15%
4. Monitor and continually improve suppliers’ materials quality performance; report monthly supplier quality data 20%
5. Drive supplier actions for timely factory manufacturing/materials issues resolution ; troubleshoot and drive root cause failure analysis 20%

Knowledge: (acquired information necessary to do the job) Good track record of new hi-tech project development with suppliers, including second sourcing. Knowledge on PCBA/box build/secondary operation like assemblies and manufacturing technologies as appropriate for the electrical or mechanical preferred position. Knowledgeable in ISO 9000/SPC technique implementation and data analysis/reporting
Skills: (acquired measurable behaviors) Hands on approach in initiating materials failure analysis and corrective/preventive actions closure. Interface with WG designers to resolve supplier related issues. Drive for solution to issues with some supervision. Possessed the specialized knowledge to source for alternatives to the problem.
Abilities: (natural talents or developed proficiencies, aptitudes) Ability to write report on supplier audit with proficiency in English. Capable to converse in Mandarin with the SQE in Sz and Suppliers in China, Taiwan. Acquired the capability to interface with supplier ‘s Mgt for support to attain the required quality level. Capable to interface with the other departments to resolve technical issues.

Education: Degree or Diploma, majoring in Electro Mechanical/Electronics Engineering
Experience: 3-5 years experience. Experience in managing/resolving electromechanical manufacturing processes issues and experience in supplier quality management.
