II. Job Scope Job Purpose To provide quality QA inspection services to ensure that customers’ quality standards are met Major Accountabilities % of time spent
1. Product Inspections and Follow-up
Conduct in-line and final product inspections against customers’ quality manuals Common activities include: Inspect materials, accessories, parts, components and products for color, measurements, labels and overall quality Review shipment samples Solve minor quality issues with factories 45%
2. Production Control
Provide QA advice to factories before and during the manufacturing process Common activities include: Check if materials used for bulk production are of acceptable quality Anticipate quality issues that may arise in the manufacturing process Update files to track production status 30%
3. Sample Inspections
Check samples against product specifications to ensure that they meet customers’ quality standards Common activities include: Inspect samples (sub-assembly product samples, pilot-run samples or customers’ samples) on materials, accessories, parts, components etc. 15%
4. Technical Support
Provide technical support to merchandisers, factories and customers to ensure product quality Common activities include: Answer merchandisers’ enquiries on quality and material issues Give suggestions to factories based on factory capacity and availability of machinery to ensure product quality 5%
5. Others
Perform other duties as assigned by Management 5%
