Position Title: Finance Controller Location: Suzhou Reporting to: CFO Supervision headcount: more than 10 (accounting) Detail-oriented Position Specification:
-Reporting to the CFO, the position is a functional leader responsible for the design and implementation of an effective and efficient financial reporting and compliance system for the delivery of quality periodic financial reports in compliance with PRC GAAP, US GAAP, regulatory requirements and UTC guidelines in meeting the needs of all stakeholders to foster continuous growth of the business in China with the proper structure and smooth workflow; -The position is also entrusted with the responsibility for the design;
Basic Accountabilities:
Management and internal controls
-Design, implement, improve and maintenance of an effective internal controls system to ensure the integrity of financial data; -Responsible for the follow up and clearance of all corrective and improvement issues identified during the financial reviews and internal audits recorded in the IRS on a timely manner; -Responsible for the coordination and support of internal and external audits。
Financial Reporting and Compliance
-Design, implement, improve and maintenance of an effective and efficient financial reporting process flow in the provision of timely, accurate and complete periodic reports required by the stakeholders; -Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of the proper functioning of the JDE system for the production of timely and accurate financial and business decision support data; -Coordinate with the treasury and tax group to ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax related regulatory reporting and assisted in other compliance matters; -Assist in design and implementation of effective tax planning process relating to legal structure, business transactions and company growth strategy;
Risk assessment and mitigation
-Assist and support functional departments in the overall business risk identification review and provide mitigating measures suggestions to be in compliance with both corporate and regulatory compliance;
Team development and training
-Responsible for man power development of the functional group and provision of needed coaching and guidance in developing professional staff; -Identify and assist in the provision of training needs to maintain and improve the technical attributes of the team members to be in compliance with requirements and meeting the needs to support to other functional groups;
Others
-Participate/assist/lead ad hoc projects as required; -Coordinate and support any information and data required by the regional controller and WHQ controller’s organization for financial reporting and compliance requirements -Coordinate the IACR & E Collect process -Design and implement Branch check lists and visit schedules -Follow EH&S policy of the company -Follow UTC SP001-SP012 policy
Key Measurement
-Technical attributes in leading the team to adopt Percentage of Completion method; -Support and assist in the transitional phase of the new factory relocation; -Improvement of existing process flow via continuous improvement or re-engineering to tighten the coordination within the functional group and with other functional departments -Follow all company policies including EH&S policy
Principle Working Relations:
This position would work closely with the CFO and OCL and NAPA controllers.
Qualification Requirement: -Solid technical accounting background conversed with PRC and US GAAP; -Converse with PRC tax rules and regulations; -Good understanding of XXX and UTC policies and procedures and ability to guide and direct the implementation of such policies within the company; -Proactive and positive attitude; -Detail and thorough in follow up and follow through of tasks assigned and initiated; -Result oriented team leader and player |
