Be wholly responsible for the financial administrative and governance activities of the Company, ensure an adequate level of control to safeguard company’s investment in China and comply with all US and Chinese accounting standards. This position will communicate regularly with senior company/ Cox executives in the US and China, with external advisors and service providers, customers, and Government authorities at policy and administrator level, specially including responsibilities: 1.Ensure the IT based accounting system is properly maintained and operated, and that suitably qualified staff provide full compliance with US and Chinese accounting standards, and report the performance of each department, division, or entity as required, with consolidation capabilities 2.Ensure financial records and reports are in compliance with the established accounting policies and procedures; 3.Work with Bankers and company Treasury to establish adequate bank facilities for each business and ensure adequate and appropriate internal controls are established for cash management; 4.Work with relevant Cox/company Tax advisors, as well as District, Provincial and State Taxation authorities to ensure company and its JV companies meets the Taxation requirements of China whilst at the same time optimizing the groups tax position 5.Liaise with the Companies external auditors regarding annual and ad hoc audits, establish proper and adequate internal controls and audit procedures 6.Ensure there is adequate internal and external auditors by performing reviews and audits of accounting records and reports. 7.Manage the preparation of the annual Budget and planning process, including preparation, approval and dissemination 8.Risk assessment and risk management activities for all entities, including assessment of risk, insurance coverage, and policy negotiation. 9.Provide strong financial leadership and provide a constant example of good financial corporate governance and financial prudence
Qualifications: 1.Bachelor or above degree in accounting, business studies or a related discipline MBA preferred, CPA/CIA/CTA preferred; 2.Minimum 12 years financial experience, and experience with US Accounting standards. Living and or working experience overseas would be preferred. Demonstrated leadership role in a growing business; New Business start up experience would be an advantage, particularly with a MNC; 3.Strong communication and interaction skills required; clear thinking problem solver; An excellent communication; and able to “think outside the box”; 4.Fully competent in written and spoken Chinese and English; Command knowledge and skills of ERP systems |
