To effectively pursue the Industrial Engineering function of incentive standard, processes, methods, plant layout, and cost estimating in a manner that will accomplish and implement cost reduction in all areas of manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Develop and maintain equitable standards in assigned areas with appropriate documentation, for assigned facilities. 2.Develop standard methods for assigned areas; provide methods for assigned areas. 3.Assist production supervision and planning to provide proper line balancing, based on standard data for assigned area, in all facilities. 4.Assist in providing product costing with appropriate standards for new models and costing. 5.Investigate, analyze, and cost justify process improvements as assigned. 6.Continually strive to improve methods and reduce costs while maintaining corporate levels of quality and safety. 7.Initiate layout changes and provide input about workflow as warranted. 8.Assume some P&IC responsibilities as warranted. 9.Analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product. 10.Develops manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY All duties required by the Engineering Manager in conjunction with the completion of tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the production in all facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.Education Required BA/BS in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or a commensurate level of related experience 2.Experience 3 - 5 years experience in manufacturing environment. 3 - 5 years specifically related experience working in manufacturing environment. Some technical supervision experience. 3.Knowledge of: Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Create order and simplicity out of large quantities of information. Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) 4.Skills and Abilities Ability to work under pressure with constant deadlines Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work.
